Michael and Tonia began to study quillwork 5 years ago and learned basic quillwork techniques from Brent Boyd a prominent 18th Century researcher and quillworker. Since then they have been creating original pieces of quillwork and reproductions of historic pieces for collectors and museums across the US. Recently a piece was commissioned by the Canadian Museum of Civilization. They work with both commercial and natural dye methods. They are constantly on the lookout for historic quillwork for study and can often be found in the collections of the major U.S. museums.
