Toboggans (Traines)
We use split hickory boards for our version of the dragging toboggan. The style is a combination of woodland styles including Cree and Ojibwe styles. It is a narrow sled designed to follow in snowshoe tracks and used to carry goods through the snow. We use rawhide lacing and bear fat to preserve the wood.
